The San Antonio Home & Garden Show is excited to welcome Julia Collin Davison to the Main Stage to share some of her cooking tips and advice during her educational cooking presentations.

Julia Collin Davison is the executive editorial director for America’s Test Kitchen and co-hosts PBS’s “America’s Test Kitchen” and “Cook’s Country” – two of the highest-rated instructional cooking shows on television. Not only do they provide some of the best recipes for home cooks, but they also help viewers understand what to look for when buying everything from kitchen gear to ingredients. Their unique and rigorous recipe testing process stands at the core of the test kitchen’s mission. To begin, they first survey their readers and viewers to choose a recipe and then test that recipe anywhere from 25 to 50 times – that’s some dedication!

Julia and her team test recipes, products and more to ensure that America’s Test Kitchen provides the most efficient way to cook any recipe! From finding the easiest way to chop an onion to testing trendy new kitchen equipment and appliances, you can trust that America’s Test Kitchen will provide you with the best tips and advice.

One of her all-time favorite meals that they have tested is Roast Chicken. To test this recipe, they might roast six chickens at slightly different oven temperatures just to see what the effects are of temperature when roasting a chicken. And that doesn’t even go into the details of the best seasonings, ways to prep a chicken and the rest of the cooking process! They make sure to include both old-time favorites like “the best meatloaf” and meals that may be more adventurous to the home chef and present it all in a way that is honest, respectful and makes the best use of ingredients that anyone can get at the supermarket.

Julia is known for her delicious recipes (that have been tested and tested to perfection) and insightful home cooking tips and has been a fan favorite for 16 seasons! So, whether you’re a fan of the show or just looking for some culinary advice, she’s sure to impress you during her time on stage at the San Antonio Home & Garden Show! You can find her on the main stage Friday, February 28 and Saturday, February 29. Don’t miss it!
